Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if I cannot attend the expo on 10/21 to pick up my bib and shirt?

    • You can pick up your shirt starting at 7 AM race day up until the race.​

  • Can I change my registration from one distance to another?

    • ​​​Yes, you can change your distance. The easiest way to change your distance is at the expo. At the expo, you can visit our Solutions Booth and switch. Alternatively, you can email mark@secondsoleohio.com.​​​​​

  • Can someone else pick up my race bib/packet?

    • Yes they can.​

  • What is the course time limit on race day?

    • We have a course limit of 4.5 hours.

  • Where does the race begin?

    • ​Second Sole

    • ​​755 Boardman Canfield Road

    • Youngstown, OH 44512

  • Where do I park?

    • There is plenty of parking in the Southbridge Executive Park complex, where Second Sole is located. 

  • Are restrooms available?

    • ​Port-a-johns are available in the parking lot at the start area and throughout the course.

  • Is there Gatorade and/or gel?

    • Yes​

  • How soon after the race can I get my results?

    • ​Results will be announced in Celebration Village as soon as they are calculated. Later on race day, results will also be posted on Facebook and our website.

  • How will I know if I earned an award and when can I get it?

    • ​Awards will be announced in Celebration Village as they come in. Awards are also included in the results that will be posted on our website and Facebook. Award plaques will be inside Second Sole and will remain there for pickup for one week after the race.

  • What is the information for the Half Marathon Relay?

    • There are 3 relay legs: 4.3 miles, 4.6 miles, 4.1 miles. A slap bracelet will serve as the relay "baton" to pass from runner to runner. The exchange point for leg 2 and leg 3 is at the Lanterman's Mill parking lot.

      • ​How do I get my relay partners to their transfer points at the race?

        • ​​​The relay exchange point is the same place for both exchanges. The relay exchange is at the Lanterman's Mill parking lot. Relay runners can park there to await their turn and cheer on their teammates. The address for Lanterman's Mill is 1001 Canfield Road, Youngstown, 44511. The parking lot is just west of the mill (turn at the light).​​​

      • When do I need to be at the relay exchange area?

        • Runners two and three must be at the exchange area by 8 AM. These runners will be given a parking placard to show police, as this area will closed to drivers once the race begins. Please be in place no later than 8 AM.​

  • Is there medical support on the course?

    • ​Yes

  • Is there a cycle crew to guide runners?

    • Yes​

  • Who gets a medal?

    • ​Anyone who completes a race distance receives a medal, including each relay team member.

  • Can I substitute relay runners if one of my teammates cannot make it?

    • Yes.​​​
  • How do I get my medal if I registered for the virtual race?
    • With your packet at packet pickup. Or you can come to Second Sole up to one week after race week. ​​​
  • How do I report virtual results?
